Green Efficiency. Was watching some of America Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston last night so the outdoors loomed even more largely in my mind - in fact, prepping for my morning constitutional and then for a bike ride to the river.
Red. It feels pretty inaccurate for me, but that's because I'm a weird outlier case. I schedule my exercise, which I rigidly chronicle and improve methodically, and couple it with outdoor activities, which I don't at all.
Neither, though, are intense, high-impact sessions. It's always vigorous, but I never try and whoop myself to exhaustion. At my age, that's injury city. As a younger man? Yes.
But most of the questions, I felt like I was somewhere in the middle, or the answer wasn't there. It was a bit binary for me as a person. As an example, when it asks if I do the talking, or if I listen, it depends. When I'm streaming, I'm all talk. In person, I tend to listen more and observe. At RPGs, it's a give and take.
And I like planning, and methodology, and data when it comes to politics and writing. When it comes to living, I'm far more spontaneous. This is one of the problems with "What general type are you" things, for me. I am a lot of things, depending on the scenario presented.
In exercise with people, I'll be competitive in a friendly way. On my own, I don't compete with myself. I just want to tick the "I exercised the best I could!" box. Etc.
Thanks for the response! Your perspective is very close to the reasoning behind why I wanted to survey a group: they are very binary questions, and they also don't really address exercise, but instead use personality questions and apply those personality traits to exercise habits.
They also assume that everyone has some sort of physical activity they enjoy, and that preferred physical activity is what people do when they exercise. I, for example, am a white, which supposedly means I plan all my exercise, which I don't. But I've also been a coach for almost 20 years, so I do a lot on instinct. So there's some nuance missing, for sure.
It's a good idea, I think. It just needs some more depth, or a third option like "none of these" or "all of these." I dunno.
But yeah, it also depends on period of your life. When I started writing professionally, I really had to force myself to write 12 hours a day, and rigidly, with a set plan. That would imply one learning style/personality style. Now I write 3-6, and I do it just knowing what to do, from practice, and I accomplish more than I did then. That doesn't mean I'm impulsive, heh. If anything, I'm more focussed.
Blue (Efficient). I would say half and and half accurate. I do like to track and document but I don’t like to do the same workouts without variance/experimentation. I also had to laugh at the idea that I do my workouts “without question” because I’m more of a “talk myself into it” person.

Hope that helps!

Saffron harmony wassupppp
So casual and playful!
Purple Harmony
Ooo, interesting. I haven't seen many purples. Do you feel like it's accurate?

There is a bit of assumption in the quiz that everyone likes to exercise, just in different ways/
White Harmony or just White, I guess. Seems accurate. Always have enjoyed exercise as a time to reflect, decompress, and analyze life's events.
I can see it! A thoughtful muscle boi.
Was it blue harmony or blue efficient?
